North Hyde Park

North Hyde Park connects West Tampa to the north and Hyde Park to the south, just west of downtown. Brick buildings along Howard Avenue, commonly called cigar factories, stand among cracker-style homes from the early 1900s. Most of the neighborhood lies in the West Tampa Overlay District, adopted in 2004 to keep new buildings in the spirit of 1920s West Tampa.
