Forest Hills

Forest Hills is in the northwestern part of Tampa, with its northern portion in unincorporated Hillsborough County near Lake Magdalene. In 1926 a developer lured 10,000 prospective buyers with a free boxing match featuring heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey, and golfer Babe Didrikson Zaharias and her husband George later bought the golf course. Today the city-owned Babe Zaharias Golf Course is the neighborhood's park-like center.
